CUSTOM FACILITATION
Still Harbor is committed to helping groups, networks, or communities of individuals without an official collective identity come together to benefit from customized small or large group retreats with a tailored facilitation approach based on the needs and goals of the individuals involved.

What kinds of groups does Still Harbor work with?
Still Harbor is a social justice organization deeply concerned with developing human capacity in non-profits seeking to be of service in an unequal world. With this orientation, we seek out groups of individuals who are serving in their communities whether it be through public service, ministry, medicine, teaching, or community organizing. We strive to bring together individuals who may not have access to networks or groups that nourish their spiritual, intellectual, and professional identity but who are looking for moments of collective reflection and discernment as it relates to their service work or practice.

What is Still Harbor's approach to designing a program or retreat?
Operating based on a core framework that targets the interior formation of individuals, Still Harbor strives to reach each groups unique needs with tailored or customized programs. Before deciding on what kind of program we might develop for a group, we typically begin with a conversation about the following core questions of service and how they relate to the prospective participants:

  1. How do I/we find my/our calling to service?
  2. How do I/we develop the capacity to serve first and lead second?
  3. How do I/we sustain myself/ourselves in my/our service work?

Together, we then evaluate the appropriate programmatic focus (mission orientation, purpose, calling, collaboration, service leadership, self-care and resiliency, etc.) and mechanisms (individual accompaniment, small group weekly facilitated series, single or multi-day retreat, or peer facilitation training, etc.) to address the specific needs.
