Featured Artist: Carol Odell
My artwork comes from within, but it is inspired by my experiences with the natural world—its beauty, and the feelings of freedom, wonder, and joy it offers. Nature not only imparts these feelings but also sustains life for all beings: plant, animal, and human. Landscape—big or small—transports me from the worries, trivialities, and conflicts of life. I attempt to put space, action, and adventure into each of my paintings, not to represent a specific landscape but rather to appeal to the same senses effected by our being in landscape.
